Cane Development
We have already formed a separate cane development staffing pattern for implementing the different cane development activities. We have employed well experienced and qualified staff for monitoring and implementing the various cane development activities. Our operational area comprises of 14 sections for quick cane development work. Every Agril Sectional Officer/Incharge of each section and he is assisted with the fieldman and field mukadams.
Organic Manuar (Compost) and Green Manuring
Karkhana is providing Organic Manuar (compost) to the farmers @ Rs. 375/- Ton i.e. below the market price, among sugarcane cultivators for improving soil structure and texture and popularizing early maturing and high recovery varieties like Co-86032,Coc-671,Co-VSI-0372,VSI-8005,MS-10001 karkhana has also providing sun humps and Dhencha, Seed for green Manuring.

We provide the seed cane of above varieties to the farmers from karkhana nursery and out Center Govt. nurseries, in view of making propaganda for planting this variety.
Drip Irrigation
In January, 2009 our Management have implemented Drip Irrigation Scheme in 2750 hectares in the area of operation. We have also given subsidy to the beneficiary up to Rs. 5000/- per acre as an incentive. It becomes helpful to encourage cane cultivators in increasing sugarcane yield.
Dnyaneshwar Samrudha Bio-compost Project
From the process of rock phosphate, bacteria and nutrients, microscopic/minute we have installed “Dnyaneshwar Samrudha Bio-compost Project of a production capacity 5000 MT/annum in 2010-11. We are providing this bio-compost to the farmers at a cheaper price @ Rs. 5200/- per ton.

White Grub Management
Due to white grub pest we found that in 2018-19 off season near about 2 lac M.T. of sugarcane crop is damaged in factory area. Therefore our management has decided to collect the white grub adult on payment basis. We have paid Rs. 300/- per kg for collection of adult white grubs to the farmers. This is very simple & effective control mechanism.
Technical Guidance
The operational area of our karkhana is divided in to 14 sections and 14 Agril Overseers are head of each section. They are guiding the cultivators time to time regarding intensive sugarcane agriculture, fertilizer applications, disease and pest control in sugarcane and other crops. To increase the sugarcane area and productivity, karkhana have undertaken various cane development schemes as under:
- Seed Distribution
- Pest and disease control measures.
- varietal planting
- Communications and Modernization Techniques.
- Supply of Fertilizers.
Introducing new varieties of sugarcane and new technology in sugarcane cultivation time to time. We are arranging farmers rallies through technical experts of V.S.I. Pune and Agricultural University, Rahuri,. All above development activities will definitely helpful for increasing the quantity and quality of sugarcane.
Shri Dnyaneshwar Krishi Vigyan Farm
We have established Shri Dnyaneshwar Krishi Vigyan Farm under the guidance of Late Padmbhushan Dr. Appasaheb Pawar at karkhana site, as a pilot project of various fruit crops. There are 14 plots in the farm and each plot had kept one acre, aiming to motivate the farmers for fruit crops cultivation thereby getting more remunerative price rather than the sole crops and also facilities like demonstration seminars, workshops, cultivation & Management practices are available to the farmers at their farm. In 2001 Govt. of Maharashtra honored “Udyan Pandit Award” to this farm.
Soil and Water Testing Laboratory
We have established soil testing laboratory at our factory site in 1991-92. Then we have installed certified computerized Soil & Water Testing Laboratory in 2017-18. (Soil sampel analysis capacity 10000 & water samples 2000 per annum)
The soil samples provided by farmer get it tested in our soil testing laboratory and advice accordingly. We have also analysied soil samples as per the guidelines of Agri. Dept. Maharashtra State Govt. through District Soil Survey & Soil Testing Officer. The soil health cards have been distributed amoung farmers.
Bio-Fertilizer and Bio-pesticide Production Laboratory
We have established Bio-Fertilizer and Bio-pesticide Production unit shri dnyaneshwar krishi vigyan farm in 2007 (capacity 150 MT/annum). Through this, we have been producing different Bio-fertilizers & Bio-pesticide which are distributed among agriculturist at a nominal rate. This helps to maintain soil health and productivity and also ecofriendly to environment.
Multi Micro Nutrient Production Laboratory
In Agriculture, use of inbalanced doses of chemical fertilizers & heavy irrigation, fertility of the soil goes on decreasing, hence yield of the crop is also goes on decreasing day by day. Therefore to minimise this problem there is need to search a cheaper source of nutrient to overcome this problems.
Our Management had taken a decision to establish a foliar grade multimicronutrient & multimacronutrient production unit with a capacity 20000 lit/annum in year- 2012. Today it become very popular amoung the farmers with a name Shakti and Urja. We are selling these plant nutrients to the farmer on “No Profit No Loss Basis”.
